On March 25 2013, PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan, declared a unilateral ceasefire with Turkey from the jail where is detained. The conditions to this truce were the release of political prisoners in Turkey's and civil and cultural liberties for the Kurdish people in South East Turkey. During the summer of 2013 there has been a great movement of troops leaving Turkey and pouring into Northern Iraq, where they stationed and later gradually left to fight elsewhere.
